Christmas Cheer

 


Experience Christmas JoyThe Salvation Army of NE Florida serves our community all year long. However, during the Christmas season it is our goal to make sure the joy of this blessed Holiday reaches every family. We provide Thanksgiving meal baskets for a home-cooked feast, and fill stockings and packages to brighten the children’s Christmas morning.

THANKSGIVING GROCERY BOX

These special food boxes contain enoughfood for a family to enjoy a home cooked Thanksgiving meal! Food boxes will be distributed on November 22 to pre-qualified families, through our Thanksgiving Food Box program. Applications begin October 3-October 15, Monday through Friday from 9am -11am. We will also be accepting applications Saturday, Oct. 8 from 9am-11am.

 

 

ANGEL TREE

December 15 and 16, so your children can experience a joy-filled Christmas morning! Applications begin October 1-October 28, Monday through Friday, 9am – 11am.Applications will also be accepted on the following Saturdays: October 8 and October 22, from 9am -11am.

 

 

Please bring the following documentation if you plan to apply for one of the holiday programs listed above

:
Social Security Card/Tax ID card for household members

State-issued Identification Card or valid photo ID from another state/country

Recent rent receipt or proof of Duval County residence

Birth certificates for household members

All expenses, such as utility bills, phone bill, car payment

Proof of all income, including any government assistance and recent pay stub from employer for all household members.

Clay county free toys for the needy...a full day of fun and free toys for kids......

J.P. Hall Sr. Children's Charities is preparing for its 30th annual Christmas Party and toy giveaway for needy Clay County children.

The popular event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 17 at the Clay County Fairgrounds, 2497 Florida 16 West, Green Cove Springs.

"Although the line is usually quite long, the party will not end until everyone in line receives gifts," according to the charity website.

Proof of residency is required and children must be present to receive gifts. A bag of new toys based on age and gender will be given to each child, from newborns to age 14, and they may also select one used toy.

Free clothing will be available for all family members and bicycles will given out randomly throughout the event. Free hot dogs, cokes and popcorn also will be available and entertainers will perform Christmas carols,
